Each of our volunteers is essential to the mission of the U. R. Important Foundation.  In order for the U.R. Important Foundation to continue providing assistance to those in need, we need your help! 

Every 4th Saturday

Volunteer Hours:  9AM - 1PM

Set-Up Crew

  • Set up tables, chairs & food stations

  • Bring food racks, boxes, and bins outside

  • Set up signage & cones in the parking lot

Clean-Up Crew (Outside)

  • Takedown all tables – put inside

  • Take all chairs inside

  • Food racks took inside

  • Take any leftover food inside

  • Pick up all trash, etc.

Clean-Up Crew (Inside)

  • Clean and sanitize all surfaces (tables, chairs, refrigerator, food racks)

  • Reorganize and clean refrigerators and freezers

  • Reorganize and clean food shelves and racks

  • Sweep floor

  • Mop floor

Food Runners

  • Keep outside tables and racks stocked

Welcome / Registration Committee

  • Greet each guest with a very warm smile and welcome!

  • Assist guests with check-in on Facebook

 

  • Traffic director (main parking lot)​

  • Traffic director (street level)​

  • Sign Twirler​

  • Pack food boxes & bags​

  • Photographer (experienced)

SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

 

We need your expertise and 2-hour weekly commitment to take our Social Media platforms to the next level and beyond!

PHOTOGRAPHER

A picture is worth 1,000 words! If your pictures don't need a caption to tell the story, then this is for you! Volunteers must have their own equipment.

These are great volunteer opportunities for High School students needing to earn their community service hours.

COVID-19 Eligibility Requirements

Your support as a volunteer makes our mission possible, and your safety as a volunteer and the safety of our staff and clients is very important to us. Please carefully 

self-screen according to the eligibility requirements listed below before coming to volunteer.

If you have had COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19, you can return to volunteering if all of the following are true:

  • It has been 10 days since your symptoms first appeared

  • At least 24 hours have passed since you had a fever without the use of fever-reducing medication

  • Any other symptoms have improved

Volunteers, including those who are partially or fully vaccinated, must be able to say YES to all of the following statements when they report for their volunteer shift:

  • I do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 or any other communicable illness

  • In the past 14 days, I have not been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, and I have not been in contact with someone who has been exposed to COVID-19 or who is quarantining for COVID-19 exposure

  • Additional requirement for volunteers who have NOT been vaccinated against COVID-19: I have not traveled on a bus, train, plane or other public transportation in the past 7 days
